Our Story begins in the summer of 2020...

It’s all started when our daughter saved a duck’s life. We were looking after our friend's farm while they were away. They raised Pekin ducks, chickens, goats and pigs, as well as the odd peacock or two. While doing our morning rounds, she noticed one of the ducks struggling to walk. Something was wrong with her leg. She brought her home, gave her a bath and a place to rest. At the vet we learned she had a broken leg. Instead of letting her be harvested, we spent the next eight weeks rehabilitating this special duck. Our friends eventually gifted the duck to us, for having rescued her. We named our wonder ducky “Eileen” because her injury causes her to permanently lean to one side. We found her a duck friend named her Millie. From then on we were hooked and our love affair with ducks cemented. The rest is history. We now have a wonderful aviary in our yard including a small flock of 6 ducks & 12 chickens.  

As animal lovers, we wanted to give our birds the best quality food so they can live long, happy and healthy lives. We wanted to know what we were feeding our birds, especially since we harvest and eat their eggs.
